Wateen Use Social Media To Change The Environment

The power of connectivity is not a good or bad thing in itself, but it has the power to be used for both. With the advent of social media, the power of connection and sharing of ideas that can transform societies and cultures is now a reality. It provides for cooperation between different people and can be used to advance ideas and collaborate to create a social and cultural change.
In Pakistan, Internet and connectivity settings changed financial, political and social in a way previously unimaginable. News and Information is the most important factor in the development of a well-educated and aware. The Internet has the power to be a life-changing technology to Pakistan and many applications.
Recently, for example Wateen was able to apply the principles of connectivity and transformation through social media to change the environment. Scouts Wateen is a unique initiative in Wateen to meet youth from across the country for a cause. We saw them as agents of change and as scouts, these agents would work to serve the community.
The first phase of the activity was carried out in colleges in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, Nadeem Chauhan, a renowned coach, asked students what really bothered social problems. He then asked them what they wanted to do about them and asked them to volunteer on projects that the students themselves selected.
In Karachi, the students opted for a beach cleanup, Lahore students chose to plant trees and students in Islamabad has opted to clean garbage in the streets.
Hundreds of students, friends, family and supporters came to participate after having been informed and connect through social media. The results were amazing people at their work with a devotion that ultimately makes a difference. And that is the point.
Social media, used intelligently, can be used not only to communicate with friends, but to communicate with them for a reason and through them to connect with strangers who also believe, as we do, that the community society in need of care and attention to grow.
The Internet is basically a tool, and we believe that it should be used Wateen to unleash the power of people to transform companies and communities and individuals to make a difference. There is no limit to the Internet can not cross and no person is beyond the scope of this World Wide Web and the proper use of it is a mechanism for freeing people to follow their hearts.
