Ubuntu Open Source OS Announced For October

Linux has the intention to invade the Smartphone market through one of its greatest players, Ubuntu. Linux has been on the rise in recent years and this year he can finally find a place in the market for handheld devices. It is not a secret that the open source platform has had a major role to play in the creation and development of the Android OS, but now the world gets to see the Ubuntu operating system. According to reports, developers will be the new Ubuntu OS without much delay and can start working on it.
The reports also said that Smartphone running on Ubuntu are not too far in the pipeline. In what could be called to be a surprising development, the new phones will hit the market before the end of the year. More specifically, the phones will be launched in October in two of the largest markets for Smartphone before entering a wide distribution. Which gives developers a lot of time for applications and other features ready.
Regarding the specifications are concerned, Ubuntu phones are quite similar to the recently launched BlackBerry Z10. The lack of buttons are remarkable features, allowing users to use the phone by touching the screen. In addition, the emphasis on gestures instead of pressing and tapping, so it is guaranteed to make comparisons with Research in Motion last handset. However, there is no word yet on who will make phones.
October may seem too far but keep in mind that the next version of the iOS and Android OS will be on the market before. Once the market is crowded, the Ubuntu operating system will be difficult to find its place, leaving the market to capture the major players.
