PakBugs, a group of hackers from Pakistan, claims to have penetrated the servers PKNIC – the entity that manages the country level domains (such as com.pk, pk, org.pk and others ..) For Pakistan – and took control of several areas including Jang, the News, Express and ItechMinder.
Hackers claims to have account information of 23,000 users and PKNIC areas. They claim to have total control over everything that is managed by PKNIC.
PakBugs is redirecting the URL field of their own Web servers, DNS poisoning PKNIC.
This is the second time PKNIC was hijacked at this massive few months.
Earlier a Turkish pirate had redirected 284 .PK fields by entering PKNIC servers and DNS poisoning her.
PAKBugs claims to have account information ItechMinder as well, and threatened to put the site offline too.
PKNIC unreacted far. An email sent to them is still waiting for answer. Previously, they had confessed that PKNIC was hacked and assured that all measures have been taken to secure its web server.
